REMINDER: If ill, a person should stay home until FEVER-FREE FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS WITHOUT FEVER-REDUCING MEDICATIONS.
General Recommendations for Children and Adults:

WASH HANDS many times each day.

Provide hand sanitizer and supervise students’ use several times each day. Caution: Do not leave the hand sanitizer out where it could be abused.

Desks, door knobs, etc. should be wiped down each day with disinfectant.

Cough and sneeze into your elbow instead if your hands.

If ill, a person should stay home until FEVER-FREE FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS WITHOUT FEVER-REDUCING MEDICATIONS. (A temperature of 100 degrees or more is considered a fever)

People with SEVERE coughs should go home because that is when they are most contagious.

Keeping groups of students who are not demonstrating symptoms away from other students is probably not effective in reducing the spread of these illnesses.
