Early ISD encompasses 80 square miles and is located in the center of Brown County. The property tax rate is approximately $1.39 per $100. Early ISD was established in 1931 and known as the Early Common Consolidated Rural High School District. The oldest remaining building from the early years of the district is the red brick building on the primary/elementary campus.
